Pointe Claire, a quiet neighborhood in the West Island of Montreal is something you could call a "sleepy" area. This West Island, to those who are unfamiliar with it, is a vast area that extends from Lachine until the west. Amanda Brugel is said to be born on the West Island. However, it's not the case. Brugel was raised on Courtice close to Oshawa within Ontario. She was determined to be professional, however due to a rapid expansion, she surpassed the dance partners she had.
